Even more significant, research studies from Morningstar, Envestnet, and Vanguard have found that professional financial advice is worth, on average, an additional 2.5% in investment returns per year vs going solo.
This means that if two people who make the same salary invest over a 40 year working period, the person who did not use a financial advisor and annually made 2.5% less on their investments, would have almost 50% less in their investment accounts as the person who used a financial professional.
